On Sunday, October 16th, the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center will be hosting the 17th annual Fiesta on the Hill, one of San Francisco’s premiere street fairs.  This is San Francisco at its best—a neighborhood feel that’s vital and diverse, live music and wares that adults love with games and events for the kids, and food that’s the full rainbow of San Francisco’s vital restaurant scene.

With attendance exceeding 15,000 people enjoying the music, pony rides, amazing shopping opportunities and lots of games, it’s a quintessential neighborhood experience that people have been marking on their calendar for seventeen years now.

Unlike other Street Fairs, Fiesta focuses on children, youth and families by providing an alcohol free atmosphere. In addition, there is a children’s area that features pumpkin and face painting. Fiesta consistently presents high quality live music that is reflective of the diversity of Bernal Heights and San Francisco at large.

This year Fiesta on the Hill presents Alphabet Soup, West African Highlife Band, Kingstreet, 75 Degrees, Ritmo y Armonia, Bushman’s Bash, Spins Band and 77 El Deora. From country to rock to salsa and hip hop, Fiesta offers music lovers a chance to sample a little bit of everything.

Fiesta on the Hill is free and open to the public. Proceeds from the event go to support the programs of the Bernal Heights Neighborhood center, a membership led organization founded by community residents over 25 years ago. Admission is Free.

Accessible by public transit on the San Francisco MUNI 24-Divisidero, 67-Bernal Heights, 14-Mission.
