Local residents spoke with Tricia O’Brien about their recollections of growing up in the neighborhood, and shared stories about friends that they knew. Others reminisced about forgotten days while looking at the more than 200 historic photographs and reading about the district’s rural past when cows and sheep were herded through the streets of the neighborhood.
Among those who attended was Sophie Maxwell, San Francisco’s supervisor for District 10, which includes Bayview Hunters Point. All those who gathered for this special event declared it a great success.
