Tricia O’Brien’s San Francisco’s Bayview Hunters Point has created a great deal of excitement in the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood, so a group of local neighbors and friends gather at a private home in the Bayview to meet the author and celebrate the publication her award winning book.



Local residents spoke with Tricia O’Brien about their recollections of growing up in the neighborhood, and shared stories about friends that they knew. Others reminisced about forgotten days while looking at the more than 200 historic photographs and reading about the district’s rural past when cows and sheep were herded through the streets of the neighborhood.

Among those who attended was Sophie Maxwell, San Francisco’s supervisor for District 10, which includes Bayview Hunters Point.

All those who gathered for this special event declared it a great success.
